it looks very nice, but you may want to reduce the image sizes they are almost 700k which is about 3 times what you would normally want. Nice job though!

Nice looking website. Needs optimized for the net though. If you get a decent amount of traffic that site will bring your web server to a crawl. Hopefully your on a 100mbps uplink.

I have a 12mbit connection and I kept getting the loading image for 3 - 4 seconds on each page load.

Other than that, it looks good. Promote, promote, promote!

    All hail the Be Be!!

The problem, and you may be able to help me with this, is that although png files are gorgeously transparent in a non jagged edged way, they are big. Any clues how to get png files down in size?

I edit or resize my png pictures in Fireworks (part of Dreamweaver). I don't use PhotoShop, but it should have the same way of editing.

the site took along time to load (3-4 seconds), clicking onto one of the images opened a center frame, which i found irritating(maybe other like it), there is no optimisation on the front page, no header tags etc, each page should focus on one keyword phrase and not more, you front page is confused in this sense as you are trying to convey the purpose of the whole site in the keyword meta tag rather than focusing on one aspect, opening up about the history it was good to see one h1 tag, but then there were no other meta tags....using the h2 tag for the phrase 'did you know' means you have lost an opportunity to promote a variant of your keyword phrase for that page.

thanks for those very valid constructive comments dickyknee. Being primarily concerned with the look and feel of the site can sometimes blind me to the other aspects, so I will definitely take those one board. Really appreciate you taking the time to give me your feedback.

It is an unusual site Blossom, refreshing, something new. I love the pink telephone for contact. :p

Hard to believe it is all HTML/CSS/JavaScript. Just goes to show you can create your own professional website using those tools. A lot of newcomers to the market buy websites because they believe designing their own using basic tools is not possible. I also think it is a lot easier to control your own SEO via HTML/CSS websites. One of our self coded, basic HTML/CSS websites, optimised by the book, indexed a lot quicker in Google than a customised, Wordpress website we bought at a ridicilously inflated price.

    Hello,

This site is very good. Congratulations!

The only problem I can see is that the shade of text colors on the actual dresser are to light and makes it a little difficult to see the writing (press and media, fine print etc). You could try usiing a darker shade of the colors you have already used. Using darker shades will ensure that you do not stray away from the color scheme.

    Nice work :)
