Do you think that for my franchise of sites that just give information about a range of topics should use .info? Also for thecompletesoccerguide.com do you think a better url would be completesoccer.info? Thanks
.com domain are best but if you looking for a name which is not available in .com then you can go for .info domains. .Info domains are cheap and many people are using it nowadays.
it depends on if you are looking for SE traffic or type in traffic. Nobody will ever type in a .info bit if kewyords are good and you will build likne. info can work well.
Wrong, I own several names where people are looking for information and it does get type in traffic. As long as you have one or two word dot info's you will do fine. Just don't get carried away with buying too many. FYI if you buy more than three domain names at godaddy, they'll give you free privacy protect on whois info.
If you plan to develop and establish, then you have to choose the domain not looking mainly at the TLD, but at the keyword. If you are buying to speculate/flip, then you have to choose carefully, remembering that domainers do love .coms and use to prefer .net to .info too. For as regards the domains you listed, the .com is too long, imho: I wouldn't use it, nor for developement purpose, since I'm quiet scared of its typos risks.. I have to agree: that used to happen with some domains of mine too
I like .info domains for informational portals for mainly travel and places... Example: www.longisland.info, www.newyork.info...... Used in this way they have clear value.... Anything else doesn't interest me personally.... NewYork.info sold for 45K and then again for 75K....
We also use several names for our company. where people are looking for information and it does get type in traffic. also to make sure no one else can get them Mike.
For a brand...no way! If your trying to get a domain name with keywords, yes but only if... .com .org .net or .ws is not available for the same name. These are considered better extensions and seem to do better in the search engines because .info is a longer extension with more characters.
Nooo, I think better is to find .com domain. I agree, with .com domain you can create some brand, .info is just an fake
well it's easy to buy a .info name they are so cheap compared to other extensions but the question is should you renew your .info domain.. It's really good because you have opportunity to try it for a really cheap fee
come up with something more catchy, less literal. Ever hear of searchengine.info? vs google yahoo... how about... soccernympho?
Yes completesoccer.info seems a lot better. Always go for a .com as your first choice unless the particular domain would be suited to a .info, .net or .org etc.
