Please let me and every one else here know about the best/ideal adsense usage you have seen on a website till today. Many things count like 1. Website theme relevancy 2. psychological edge 3. placement 4. contents type 5. average earning per click 6. any other aspect i dont know and please list it in your post. This will guide me and many other new webmasters here
Average earnings per click can be one of the most misleading figures known to man unless it is lifted from your own stats and income. Too many people chase the so called high networth keywords only to crash and burn badly.
Average earnings per click is hig when adword advertisers fight over your site for ad placements. If adword advertisers don't care about your site, you will get few cents per click even for high paying keywords.
I find that sites that are targetted towards only a few topics have a higher CTR than general sites. This is because the ads are more related to the site.
Some people say that users will not click on ads placed on a sidebar of a web site, although I seem to still get clicks from there. A sneaky place to put ads is near links and buttons, if well blended in you will get many clicks on the sly.
For adsense ads, Should i use blending or contrast? What do you prefer. Second and most important question is if i have to put an ad like 160x600 in side bar, which position is best, left of right? I have noticed that google put its ads on right side in google search results, should i do so same?
