    What's wrong with that?

    Very Immature of your part.

By the way, there's a typo on the very first line of your website homepage

His chest beating.... some of us have been using it longer. The simply
fact that he needed to stress his qualifications to someone else without
knowing that persons is indicative of someone who is insecure in their
own abilities. The person has a grudge with Shinan and decided to stalk
him through DP to get revenge.

    The whole argument is/was immature.

Not surprising.... I'm known for them- Thanks for visiting, come back soon!

I had to stress my qualifications because I was unable to visually prove my experience at skills since I couldnt post a link at that time as a noob to the forum

I think your falling away from the intent of the thread, which was to host and AWARD someone monetarily for their work in a contest, it was one of my first experiences on this site to read and follow a contest w/ great submissions that ended with

    Dude. wheres my money?

Since I am interested in participating or hosting similar contests I would like to see how these things work out here

Ill prove my design skills when necessary and I tried to be careful in not making any claims to great skills, as of course I can write anything I want... only a portfolio would actually prove anything, I said I have been a USER for 10 years. I didnt say my art makes the ladies panties drop and misers wallets open.
    Although, of course it does..

ON top of the typos in the first page, the general copywriting is subpar, Tightwad (*beats chest, and rubs one off with one hand while playing Beethovens 5th on an ukelele with the other)...but the designs are great, its better not to be known for poor copywriting when you actually have something valid to offer...

I wont be responding to further attacks against me...Im going to keep watching because I want to see if people actually get paid for their work here, but I get no satisfaction from talking mindless bull w/ strangers

Plus, in general, I like to help people...not put them down. Its not an insult to tell you that you have typos and poor copywriting, it just means people took the time to tell you how to improve

*edit* although my comments may hold no veracity as I have no rep or history here, you should trust Zepia and take a look at his page for an example of quality copy...plus I have to give props to fellow pizza makers

I'm just waiting for the announcement. :) I'm excited. The "Girl" is either myself or Phyza, likely :) My favorite design on this contest wasn't my own, but that really sleak shark with the tail that slides into pixels. It was so simple, and professional and I liked the silver. But obviously they wanted something slightly more fun and less corporate :) Otherwise that was a sexy logo :)

Im too lazy to design a logo, so here's a tagline I came up with:

The great white of web design

I read only first page of posts, so if I copied anyone, sorry.
    Expecting my 30 $ for tagline :D

This is a very drawn out contest, i'm not surprised all of the designers who entered this are frustrated, a lot of work has gone into this contest by many people. Think about all of the hours combined spent creating for you, and you won't select a winner. Not cool, man!

Shinan, I really think you should just either withdraw the contest or announce a winner because it won't be doing your reputation as a designer or a CH very good at all leaving this hanging over your head.

Just trying to help you out mate, not trying to complain (I didn't even enter - i don't care who or what wins) but I think you owe it to the designers after all this time.

Well, the most frustrating thing is that he is a designer himself and knows how annoying it is when you are waiting for a result and the excuses keep appearing. If he doesn't have the funds to pay, be honest and announce a winner and say its pending or whatever, just don't keep saying they didn't make a decision yet because, while i understand it's an important decision for any business, this is just too long.

Is this still the case? I'm not sure why it wouldn't be fair to announce the winner, it's a lot better than what has taken place since anyway (ie. nothing). I just feel sorry for the participants because i've been there myself both in proper client work and in contests and it is a bitter pill to swallow, as you well know.

I'll mind my own business now, I just wanted to try and help bring this to a close if I could!

I should've known better, the .net and .com are taken and belong to the same person, the .org still available....

    And now he's doing logos....

Shinan, thanks for the contest, It brought me several customers but I'm pulling out my design from this contest if a winner not chosen in the next 24 hours.

Negative reputation will be followed and if all the designers that wasted their time do the same that will put you in the red and possibly banned.

Really sorry for delay guys, but the winner is watari. But we'd like to give CameoAnderson a consolation prize as well since she came second, and we'd like to purchase her mascot too if she's ok with it. :)

Winner will be contacted by PM for further negotiations.
Great work everyone, I wish I can buy a couple, but right now kind of on a low budget, so there can be only one winner. :)

I will have to check my PMs. I didn't get any notifications via email so maybe shinan changed his mind. It'd be cool if it works out that I Get a consolation prize :) This contest was fun. If not, well, that's fine too cause I can probably sell the sharks as a set to someone. Thanks.
