I bet im not the only one that does`nt like submitting to web directories that are full of google adsense.

To me it really makes the directory look tacky and i son hit the close tab button on firefox.

So i am building a list of Free and Paid web directories that are Google Adsense FREE.

If your is ad free post it here for inclusion in my list that will be posted on my marketing blog.

    The http://www.pulsedirectory.com/ has no adsense.

Gotta admit though, ive tried adsense on it in the past, results are not worth it though.

Might be worth you mentioning yahoo ads, adbrite, bidvertiser etc, unless your just against adsense. :)

Sorry, but if you don't have a submission form then people need to send their directories to you via private messaging or email. Posting in the thread will be considered spam.

I know a lot of paid directories that are better than other AdSense free ones.
Where is the plus value your list was supposed to have ?

The value is not having to go through hundreds of directories that are full of adsense which a lot of webmasters do not like.

U need to be little more smart than that.

I put G AdSense on half my directories so that Google trollers don't think I am only selling Text Links but also trying to monetize it through them. :p

They don't report me - I have no problem putting those foolish codes which can't reach a Payout amount for more than one year.:(

But yes- I do have some good directories without those foolish codes which I don't think is wise to share on a public platform full of Google trollers.

@OP - if you are serious - contact me via PM and I'll surely give u list of my 6 directories that has little to do with anything Google.

I don't like submitting to crap directory lists that are sorted by some arbitrary whim such as if they display a particular sort of advertisement which the list owner finds disagreeable.

Not sure the point of making a list of adsense-free directories. That tells users absolutely nothing about the quality (or lack thereof) of each directory.

Old and well-respected directories WITH adsense or similar:

    http://www.joeant.com/
http://www.elib.org/ (one of the oldest shopping dirs on the web)
    http://www.worldsiteindex.com/
    http://www.romow.com/
http://dir.yahoo.com/ (runs Yahoo sponsored ads of course)
...not to mention every article directory that's ever existed on the web.

Of course, I could make a gigantic list of directories that are real turds...but don't use adsense. My guess is it will end up looking alot like the list you are making.

Also, what is the difference in your eyes between directories that monetize their sites with adsense and directories that sell sitewide links (often to pharmacy and gambling websites). What about directories selling Featured Links or Category Sponsorships? Is that really so different than adsense?
