Here's the link for the full details of the story. It could be a frame-up?

I did not think the antics of Billy Carter mattered.
I do not think this matters.
I did not think the mischief of the Bush girls mattered.

And I did not even vote for Carter or Obama.

Obama seems to be good president of USA. His brother issue never degrades obama image.

I absolutely agree. Each has his own will. Other people's behaviors, whether they may be members of your own family, don't represent who you truly are.

Shouldn't even be news. Would it matter if it was some other non-Obama related drug pusher?

My grandfather's stepsister's uncle's brother-in-law murdered someone. Should I be held guilty? Should I take responsibility?

It's bad journalism. When nothing else is there to write, head over the Atlantic and see what we can scrounge up. Oh, look, the half-brother of the newly elected President got caught with an extremely small amount of marijuana! By all means, let's make front page news of it.

A joint is $5 worth of marijuana. The fact this is on the news is a joke. I bet the cop wouldn't have even arrested him if he didn't know his last name.

Its weird that there is something in the media that is potentially damaging against Obama. And whoever thinks he looks like a good president for us.....could be right, could be wrong. I am giving him 100 days before I base my decision. Although, with closing GTMO, I am leaning away from the good side......

LOL so what does this have to do with obama, one joint please...but i am in oregon where it is not ok to possess more than one ounce but it is OK to smoke it on your property.....back in the day there used to be a hang out in downtown portland and cops would join in on the smoke fest. I have since done some growing up and haven't touched it for 11 years.

Legalizing Marijuana was the number #2 issue on change.gov a while back, it was also on the change.org list which was presented to the transition team. He knows that the people want this, and his brother's problems should help indicate how much damage is done by prosecution and persecution of cannabis users.
I understand he doesn't have much to do with his father's family. The last story was about how they live for $1 a day in Kenya. I doubt that joint is worth $.50 in local terms.
I hope President Obama has the courage to end this nightmare of marijuana prohibition in the US.

Good! Maybe the fact that he knows people from around the world he won't fall into the protectionist/isolationist trap that prolonged the last depression and helped fuel WW2

    (Sort of offtopic, though)

Maybe, at least, Obama will use the experience to lay off on some of the harshness of our own marijuana laws

I'm not in favor of protectionism but it doesn't make sense for the US to borrow trillions of dollars for stimulus so people can buy cheap electronics form China.
