looking for backgrounds

I am building an e-card website. I am looking for a nice, colorful, maybe funny background. All I can find are the same dull backgrounds that look like wood or stone in different colors. Where can I find some cool ones?

i'm not sure about the terms and conditions of use though...

 

Some inspired work at http://www.deviantart.com/. But, get permission from the artists before using any.

 

Well... I can't go through all the fuss of asking for permission, any place where I can just popin and get my background so I can continue working on this?

Thanks... I just got an image and used Photoshop to fade it and use it as a background

 

theres some decent seemless tile background creation software around.

if it's not a tile your after you can always rob something from Getty or a photo hosting site like pbase[dot]com

i personally am a fan of solid color backgrounds
