Adsense revenue dramatically down

Has anyone else experienced this over the past couple months?

I've noticed my adsense revenue has gone down a lot. I haven't changed anything with the placement and the number of ads per page. My traffic has actually increased and other ad revenue has increased.

Did adsense change something? Should i try adbrite or yahoo? I currently use adsense and valueclick.

nothing to do with smart pricing. Adsense revenue is down across the board, its with the economy. If you know some of your advertisers who used to regular run ads on your website with top spots, you would notice that they are no more running the ads. Thats the reason of the whole adsense is going down coz premium advertisers aint running any serious ad budgets right now.

I thought now they would need advertising more than they used to do.

Actually yes but the biggest fear is however that, they spend more money that they could make. Always remember that at the end of the day ROI matters.

Currently companies aint cash rich anymore and they can't raise money from the market either that means they would only depend on actual sales.

anyways this would continue to be there for atleast 6 months -1 year. hopefully gradually it improves.

I suggest you wait a while longer. Don't give up on Adsense yet. It might surprise you :)

Yeh that's what i thought was happening. I'm considering at least trying another ad service like adbrite though. Like i said, valueclick revenue has gone up and adsense has gone way down...

Can't confirm that observation, my adsense revenue remains as always. - In fact it's slightly growing.
