all the hosting sites (almost all!) accept paypal.

Bluehost does have cpanel and their service is good, the only thing they are bad is thay they are very strict about hosting. Things shouldnt be taken for granted, ask them before you do plan for new things.

I kind of have no idea about Inmotion and ICD.. but i think i'll do a bit of research if possible..

And the thing that which host is the best, it just depends on what you want. It is not a good thing to go with hopes to a very highly ranked host if they are strict about the content. And speaking of which, the new hosting services do survive well. Most hosting services atleast last for about 1 year. So it is kind of a bit vague thing to get information about best hosting site, but yea it is good to have knowledge of who is strict and who is a bit linient with the clients.

the higher tier end services offer "Dedicated IP" what is this? and why does it cost more

also, hosting pad.com has a 4 bucks monthly promotional deal right now also include Cpanel.

What do you think of this and is this good?

I am about to take the plunge. which host is the most lenient?

I would just question the leniency of hosting. What sort of site do you think of hosting? it depends on that.

Normally big hosting companies with high ratings have sold loads of hosting accounts to their clients. Yes they are relaible but the thing is, they give out cheap accounts in order that they get more customers, but they dont really understand that it brings downtime to their server. But it also happens that they take out promotion, but it normally brings out half of the clients as they dont Ask the host about the site they are going to host and go against the rules as of due to cheap hosting..

This brings profit to the host as they dont return the money due to rule breaking. Its just a general idea which i have attained so far by viewing other hosts and comparing what i provide.

But there are sites who give hosting for cheap as they might be starters and want good reviews and yes it does happen that many companies come out everyday, and out of 10 hardly 1 survives a month.

About "Dedicated IP" it costs a bit extra as you have a private IP which helps be safe from hackerz as they normally think that the site is hosted on the same ip as of the host. Dedicated IP doesnt let the hackers get an access that easily as they cannot really crack it of. It also does affect the spaming being done by bots in current days.

I use Go Daddy and it's really inexpensive per month. I think I pay less than $4 a month.

In the whole discussion, we havnt had any information on what website you are going to make. It all depends on that and hence the hosting relevancy is also dependent. There are different rules and regulations stated in the webhosting service's TOS. See if you follow it. And later go for the one you like.

There is a live chat option, ask them if they provide cpanel 11 for your hosting account. Then do the needful. :)

ok, talked to the rep and apparently you have to sign up to a 2 or 3 year contract. and I"m not going to do that so I guess I will stick with Host Gator.

If you want a choice more, just have a look in the signature about my hosting advert. If not then Best of luck with Hostgator. It was nice helping you.

If you fix your decision up, just let us know so that the threat can be closed. :)
