I've tried on Ebay, but there's just too much there. But I haven't heard of websitebroker.com before. I'll check it out Thanks.
Really hard to believe in today's day and age that any website is worth anything. However, IF it is earning a profit why on earth would you sell it? Not sure about the rest of you, but once you get a site to generate some profit you will have put so much effort. If you part with your cashflow asset, then it would leave you starting over from scratch... AGAIN!!!
That's not true at all. People sell profitable websites all the time - for a variety of reasons. They are looking to scale up or down, changing business strategy, have a family/private issue that will too much time away...why does anyone sell anything that is valuable? That's the way the world works!
Basically any "work at home" or "make money online" style forum will be a good place to sell a website. Gumtree or any of hundreds of online classified ad websites might help as well.
The main reason people sell websites producing a profit is because the sites usually sell for at least 3 months worth of income generated from that site. If you can continue to produce these sites and sell them then you can continue to quickly make several months income from a site. Plus it takes time to maintain a site especially traffic flow, many people may choose to invest more of that money and time into a site that is producing more money.
Devana, List of places where you can sell sites. All of the ones mentioned above are listed there... and some more. I wouldn't use eBay myself, there's so much of junk there that it's hard for buyers to find the worthwhile ones. Sedo is more for domains than sites. Individual web brokers don't have a large enough audience.
Thanks for that, I'm looking to sell a few sites at the moment, that'll help. You could also try the Warrior Forum Classifieds, $20 to post on there. Hopefully DigitalPoint is as good as people say, 15 more posts and I'll find out :O
I think DP and sitepoint is the best place to do. one more place i did purchased on site actually come with domain at tdnam.com
