Hi All, We have started a Webhosting Reviews Site to create an easy overview for people who need webhosting. We are different than other Webhosting Review Sites as we don't accept webhosting related advertising (we allow advertising, as long as it is not webhosting related to avoid partiality in any way). Rankings are done by honest customer reviews and not by advertising webhosting companies, so hereby i would like to ask you all to visit the website and give an honest review of a webhosting company. Thank you for your cooperation. http://www.realhostingreviews.com
you mean to avoid impartiality lol all you've included is huge companies that already have honest customer reviews all over the internet. this is really nothing new, and it doesn't seem to be a top list kind of thing so not allowing web hosting advertising really doesn't matter here another reason it doesn't matter is because you are allowing people who used the companies to write reviews and i don't believe it affects anything just some observations - good luck with it, many like it though
Thanks for your reply. Well, i used the Google translation tool and it shows "partiality" as the translation, so i guess that will be the right word. We have included a few (more to come!) companies who have "customer" reviews and there might be other websites who have the same (as far as they are from real customers and NOT written by the website owner who rank the highest commission payer webhost! and full of webhosting related banners and popups). We are looking for customers who would like to write their honest review about their webhosting. As you see, this website is a totally different setup instead of other webhosting "review" websites... But thanks for your time anyway
impartial means you are neutral partial just means you are parting/separating it which really doesn't make sense lol, don't worry about it I would say 95% of the web hosting companies out there use real customer reviews and the reviews submitted to other web hosting review sites are from real customers. You just have a few pathetic hosts where the owner goes around submitting reviews as if they were the customers. and it really isn't a different setup, the commenting system, ratings, etc. are very similar to others and there is nothing wrong with that, you just have to acknowledge it. And it is the same concept as most other web hosting rating sites. But anyway, good luck with the project hope you get a lot of submitted reviews - if you can increase your web hosting database to hundreds of hosts, you are more likely to get reviews submitted than if you have just a select few.
Thats how reviews work, right? Rating system, comments, etc. As you can read, i already have mentioned in the first post what the difference are. Thank you very much We will do our best to maintain the website and add more. Have a nice day
ah, sorry about that, read wrong - my mind is exhausted today after a long day of classes and yes that is how reviews work, but you are calling it a "different setup" - I was just pointing out that it isn't so different - the site set up that is - and I don't believe you would have been doing anything bad by having hosts advertise on your site because you aren't making a toplist of any kind so ads wouldn't really affect how things are rated or anything. other web host reviews site are top sites who put the higher paying host on top
Glad you got it Well, a toplist will be created automaticly by the system. Currently there is only 1 review by someone passing by the website, and as you see that webhost is on number 1 (just because there are no other reviews, of course). I just can say, i hope there are more people who will do honest reviews and you'll see how the system works. If there are enough reviews we might create a special page with a top 10 or top 5, created from the results from the system.
yeah thats what I was saying about the advertising, you wouldn't let it affect how it is posted anyway - you could probably get extra revenue that way and still keep the honest reviews win-win situation
We dont accept webhosting related advertising just to avoid partiality. Also our website is not a website where youre getting attacked by popups, popunders, banners, fly in ads, and so on, instead of other webhosting review sites. We might add ads but just not webhosting related.
Nice... I'll check it out but tbh... Your gonna take alot of time to come up.. If you wanna come up really fast you need to make atleast 20+ blog posts everyday.. I currently have something similar and I make MINIMUM 100 blog posts a day Good Luck with your website!
100 blogposts... well the site is up for just 3 days now. There are more to come, and your website, with all respect, does not looks and works like ours.
We add respectable webhosts, with or without referral. Main thing is a serious and honest review site. No we dont accept one-day-fly webhosts and no we dont accept offshore (warez) webhosts.
@ilook - I know bro.. But to come up you need content.. You can't get on the top of search engines with the keyword "Hostgator" or any other company unless you have content.. Your website is good, no doubt.. but it won't get much traffic from search engines which has the REAL Juicy traffic of people who are actually looking for web hosting.. Tip: Make a section for articles and post about 200-300 articles there and link the keywords of your niche in those articles back to your website If you see, the top web hosting review sites, they will have the articles section They usually remove it once they have a good number of companies listed and are receiving a good amount of traffic from Search Engines.
Thanks for your kind help and thoughts Yes i might have to change some things to get good ranking, but hey, Rome was'nt build in a day
