vBulletin is commercial software www.vBulletin.com - although there are a lot of free add-ins/mods www.vBulletin.org

If you are looking for some free forum software, I'd recommend SMF - Simple Machines Forum. phpBB is also very popular.

    Hope this helps,
    Eric

ye, i wouldnt go searching for a free vbulletin download, because there are all nulled and Jelsoft will shut you down, so ye as linkbliss said above, theres smf, phpbb there the best free ones but theres also other ones like vanilla or mybb.

theres lots out there, but smf and phpbb are the best ones.

It is expensive but it's by far the best forum software available, I used to use phpbb and it was very good but VB has so much more.

Having said that it does depend on exactly what you want from a forum. As phpbb is free download it and give it a run to see what you think. Also try giving the VB demo a try.

Yes,but they are worth with the prices.Myself owned active 43 license vBulletin. Before decided to buy bulk these scripts,I had tried IPB,PHPBB and other Bulletin Board, but one of them can beat vBulletin features.

phpbb, smf also very good actually in these forum script you can easily add and remove ad codes but which is not possible in vbulletin everything is in XML and you can easily change layout of other forums except vbulletin.others are less resource consuming forums but vbulletin is not.you can easily manage and handle other forum scripts but in case of vbulletin its quite difficult.
i am very friendly with smf and phpbb and had developed few themes for sms forums also.
    Thanks For Ur reply Guys.

I've tried several scripts including phpBB, punBB and others but the forums I enjoy most are all vBulletin...

It's expensive, yes... But definitely worth it!

You are right but in vbulletin for each feature we need a module for it and for it we have to pay and some modules also don't work properly and if we want to insert any ad code for this we need a ad management module another thing in vbulletin if you want to install any module or plugin you need to go to Cp then have to import the XML file only and the rest have to make ftp but in smf,Phpbb there is good features in admin panel you can easily import any module and install the module from admin panel without making any ftp.
    Thanks.:)

SMF2.0 is already developed but its under beta testing.it will take another 1or more month to release. But when it release you can easily upgraded ur old version to new from ur admin control panel in a single click but before that u should take a backup of ur database for security measurement.
    Thanks.

Speaking of scripts, forums and paid scripts, why does vbulletin, Xenforo and IP.Board all use the blue color for their marketing website? That color looks very professional, but I always wondered why they all use the same color. Must be something to it. Far as free forums, anyone ever try FUDForums ? I love them.. It's a lot like vbulletin in looks.. Only downside no subfolders or css styling allowed. But a very good solid script.
