Is it legal to register domain that includes prefix to a trademarked brand?

    no no no don't even think to to make your domain sound like their domains...it'll get you in deep shit..trust me i have been there.

    While it's not "illegal" to register domain names bearing trademarks (especially
    uniquely famous ones like Microsoft, Google, Gucci, etc.), certain laws and/or
    administrative procedures prevent one from using them to make money off of
    their trademark name-sakes. Trademark holders might hold you accountable if
    you insist on doing what you're asking.

    You stand to lose the domain name at the very least. You can be sued if you
    are within the trademark holder's reach, meaning you're both in the same area
    or so.

    (Sigh, getting rather tiring having to answer that same question a gazillion times. Oh well...)

    Actually you can register them. But why? I suppose that you will not be able to hold all of them for long time and that will be only time and money wasting

    I think you should not go for that because it would be violation of the exclusive rights of trademark by attaching it.

    i have got a mail to my home address from lawers of american express i had 2 domains from their name... i explained them that it was mistake and i dropped the domains... they r ok with me now..
