    Hi,

I have just got the beta of Win 7 and all I can say that it rocks!!

However, I found that IE8 has some bugs, but overall it is better than vista!!

    Regards

I am as well, and I have to agree with you!
Technically speaking, it is even faster than XP, which kind of blew my mind at first, but after installing it I can see why. IE8 only uses like 8 megs of memory, which is amazing, however your right it is a little buggy. To be honest, I NEVER expected this from Microsoft... xD

I'm using win 7. I must say I was amazed to see the speed. Its even faster than xp. It has far more features and has all the eye candy of vista. Its truly great. I immediately installed Chrome so can't say much about IE.

Yes it's a great improvement on Windows Vista. I must say I am very impressed with it so far. I just hope it gets even better as time goes on.

I'm using Windows 7 for the last 1 week and it simply rocks. They have improved a lot since vista. I had stopped using IE but some how I liked using IE on windows 7. For almost 2 days I used IE. But I'm too used to Firefox and now I'm back using firefox. But Windows 7 is Cool!

I have been using it on a test PC and...

IE 8 is pathetic... constant lock-ups are a problem with this. Easy fix is install Firefox.

As for Windows 7 itself, well to me it is Windows Vista dressed up a bit... :(

I'm using 7 and I love it. Only bugs I have is:

    A) ICQ Crashes
    B) Gadgets/Sidebar doesn't work
    C) Computer doesn't properly shut down

minor bugs which'll get sorted soon I'm sure. I like the speed increase :) and my old computer games run much better ie the journeyman project turbo, 2 and 3 run faster with less crashes.

I have been hearing a lot of good things about W7. I'll wait a bit more and I'll probably install it.

The bottom line for Win 7 for me is basically, if you have vista then upgrading isn't going to be much of a culture shock. Most applications work just like they did in vista (heck even my USB mobile broadband dongle works!). If you have Windows XP and want to upgrade but haven't tried Vista it's going to be just as difficult as before, very hard to adapt to at first.

I am still on vista, dont see much need to switchover yet as I dont need the extra speed, but might try it out soon.

Microsoft SERIOUSLY did a GREAT job with Windows 7. It's been pretty stable, even though it's a beta, and I've only had 1 program (Skype) crash once. I've been using my laptop more often ever since I installed it!

I have not yet because Beta from Microsoft normally has many problems. Does anyone know if Windows 7 will be free when the stable version comes out?
