Bad News for all you blackhatters with multiple Associated Content accounts

AC will now require either a telephone verification for your account, or a W-9 for each account.

Good move on their part, IMHO, because it will keep those spinner articles off of there, and get the real articles reviewed and paid for quicker. Who knows, maybe they will even pay more since they won't be paying for all that nonesense.

I'm sure there are black hatters that can work their way around this, because being dishonest is what they do, but I'm hoping it will help keep some of the garbage off the site.

I write for AC, and even though they don't pay well, it's a fast way to pay my utilities every month. An hour a day does that. All this garbage that's on there now is dragging the site down.

That's interesting and great! I signed u for an account not too long ago and haven't really started getting into it yet. How do spinner articles not get caught?

Easy, it's because it's ALOT out there. It's hard to keep up from my experience.

This is a great day to know that.

Where does the money come from? Sharing ad revenue? Surely people aren't buying the nonsense content (?)

I thought this type of market always screened the content before it was published :s

AC pays you upfront for your articles, then you get paid for page views. They only read the first couple of paragraphs, then run it through Attributor (a professional version of Copyscape), and another program that determines the payment based on a number of factors, such as keyword density, how it relates to the ads on the site, and your page view average.

I haven't been there long, but I'm learning fast how to get your PVA up.

I wonder what it would take for them to pay higher rates. Now THAT would be great news. LOL

This sounds really interesting and like something I want to try. With your news of it being cleaned up, it is even more appealing. Thanks for the info - and wish me luck! :)

I might actually sign up with AC if they become a bit more strict. It'll give real writers a chance to make some decent money. I hope so, anyway.

maddie73 - you have MADE MY DAY!
I looked at AC a while back, but was put off by some comments I read elsewhere (which have kinda been echoed above) that it was hard to stand out from the crowd of garbage that was being submitted.
Now I can go back and start to make a few bucks by sharing my article writing talents - not an income genrator, more a "fun money" source for those nice little things that make a sweet life (a movie or a meal out, say).
Thanks - I've got a big smile on my face!

I think that's a good move by Associated Content. That should take care of crappy content being submitted.
