    Think about something that you're familiar with, have some deep knowledge and personal interest.
    Investing in something you have no idea about means outsourcing pretty much everything and that's not nice.

    In fact all you need to start is a domain name + some decent hosting package which makes less than $50-100 / year.
    However if you're new to the online business and you know next to nothing, having some spare money might help :)

    well firstly try to find out the field in which you really have complete knowledge.......

    then try either make your website(through any website developer) with all the features on it or try opeining a seller account on e-bay...

    they have their T&C just follow them and do your work with most efforts.........

    Learn the basics - Xhtml and CSS and build the website yourself. Then learn the basics of SEO by implementing techniques you learn on your website. Then, after you know the ins and outs of online business should you invest in bigger projects!

    Once you find your passion, create an info-product and sell it. Drive mass traffic to that site and recruit affiliates. Watch the money pile in. :)

    If you are low in funds, google adsense may be the easiset way to start because you can use free hosts like blogger of free web hosting to get your start untill you make your first checks, then you can upgrade.
