1400 Google Visits in 3 days

I have only had a domain for 4 days and it has only been live and active for 3 days, yet Google seems to live on this domain. According to Stats there has been over 1400 Hits from Google and just 3 from Yahoo. Is this normal? Seems a huge amount of visits from Google ?

 

It depends on the content of your site, and the tags which you have used. And most of people use google. It is normal.

 

It could be that the domain was dropped before and you bought it as soon as it became available. Which leaves traces of SEO in the search engines. That could be one of the reason this has happened. Also if your domain has the most effective keywords, then you are sure to get that much traffic..

 

Wow, 1400 is a really nice number.

I'm with the recently dropped domain...Sometimes it'll still show up in the SEs as a older domain , and older domains = better SERPs

Thanks everyone for your replies. It's a forum, so I guess the fact that there has been a lot of content created in such a small space of time has caused this too As long as it's nothing to worry about im cool with it

 

It's quite normal that Google drives much more traffic than Yahoo.
In fact if you have other sites you will notice the exact same thing

 

From experience, you will get more traffic from google than yahoo, but as it has been pointed out, really depends on the content and tags within the site, but even still a great start for it

 

yes , its normal its depends on what keyword you target and above all , all the marketing steps you have taken might be responsible for the surge in traffic

 

Well, hits made by the robots files and web crawlers are going to be different from valid visits derived from the actual clicks made on the search engine listings. For example, many forums might be receiving thousands of hits a day but do not have many visitors.

 

May we know what's the address of your site? It's definitely a good domain name. In traffic difference between yahoo and googl, it's normal that you received more visitors from the big G. There are more users who search using the big G search engine.

 

1400 is really big number

 

... for a 3 days domain.. so.. it's kinda logic.. it's a dropped domain, which is already indexed by google. "lucky you" i can say

visits can be better shown up by alexa........it will exactly show you up the number of visitors and number of bots visits and then you can know what and where the visitors come from
