The program is working fine. Payment depends on the industry and how willing advertisers are to spend. When the economy goes south, business still needs customers, many actually increase their advertising budgets. So it really depends on the Industry. But honestly why would anyone expect the payout across the board to not be affected?

The decrease in economic activity has affected my adsense revenue and my affiliate revenue as well. Some of this is niche related, but most of it is, that people are not spending the money as they did just a short 6 months ago.

Note that this week, Google reported, for the first time, that earnings were less than the were in the previous year. Google still made profits, but for the first time did not show growth.

If Google is making less, then the publishers using adsense are making less. (Some publishers will see increases, but on average revenues will be down.)

What to do? Relax, go through your business plan and see if it can be improved. Work on new sites, maybe those that really rock your world. At some point, this will turnaround and the better publishers will rebound first.

You know, this is a pretty good example of why your website should be a personal interest and a hobby first. Then when your money-making goes down the crapper, you don't just close up shop. Course, many of the MFA sites I've seen that exist only for Adsense SHOULD just close up shop...they are the problem to begin with.

I wasn't doing that amazingly on adsense anyway, so its stayed around the same for me.

Blame the mass hysteria, everytime someone mentions E C they are digging a deeper hole.

Its mostly panick spread by words;) refuse to talk about it.

Difficulties just make me work harder, were not starving after all, think of it that way, some people are actually starving.

me too dropped by 50% , clicks and UV are same but eCPM are very low , that means advertiser don't getting profit after the crisis

see we don't have other option if this capital free market system completed down, lets bring that old communist manifesto

Actually, I have near 100% growth in the earnings this month - half of which due to traffic/page impressions increase and the other half because of higher CPC.
However, I have never earned much from Adsense and prefer affiliate programs as there the income is times more and simply that's my goal, adsense is just btw and I don't use it on some new sites at all.

Regarding the crisis, absolutely agree with pipes that it is mostly panic and nothing more... and the fact that my affiliate earnings have also increased by ~100% proves that, although winter is usually good season for my niche.

It just means you need to work 50% harder and spend 50% more. You will remain on track in recession as well.

Maybe is time to work hard to add more and more content and earn the same mount of money that you were doing before the big crises, remember the crisis always passed, and when the world come normal again you will earn much more money, think in possitive :) all is possible in Internet, Remember the key:

KEEP WORKING, think in the future!

    My 2 cents
