Getting a Flash file to work in Wordpress.

    Hello all,

    I thank anybody for any help in advance. It is appreciated.

    I have purchased a flash file from Flashden and I am having trouble getting it to work on my page.

    The Flash file consists of the swf movie, an xml document, and a folder of images that are used in the flash file.

    Here is a link to the flash file I purchased. When I looked through the support forum for the flash developer I saw him telling other people that the XML file needed to be in the same directory as the .swf file and the page it is displayed on. I do not know which folder this would be in the wordpress installation.

    When I try to embed it through wordpress I get no action, and when I try to ftp it in like I would any other files it doesn't work either.

    Any help on getting this to work on my page would be appreciated. To edit my wordpress site I just build the page up in dreamweaver then copy and past into wordpress (FYI).

    Sorry, I am not too familiar with wordpress or the installation - it seems you have uploaded the files via FTP? Did you verify the xml file is in the same folder as the other files? You should be able to enter the address of the XML file into the address bar to verify it is in the same folder.

    Or maybe a link to the page that is having problems?

    i believe that you willl have to install the flash wp plugin.. so that it cab run flash files

    The problem I am having I am sure has to do with this xml file. How do I use pb-embedFlash with the xml file as well?

    Hey did you figure it out. If not I would try to drop your XML file in your root main or root template directorys. I've found that in wordpress sometimes the path gets sloppy because the page is rendered from a theme directory. It really depends on the path in your fla, I can explain more in detail if your still stuck
