Why do humans like to yak yak/ talk talk?

    If you look at % of serious talk/ conversation that humans have , it is low %.
    Humans spent too much time bitching, gossiping, nonsensical, trivial talk. Just listen to any bunch of people in a pub or party talk... most of what comes out of their mouths are rubbish about other people or irrelevant small stuff/ drivel. What they say are usually not enlightening or beneficial.
    So why do most humans talk so much more than they listen? :D
    Human are born with 1 mouth and 2 ears so they are supposed to listen more than talk.
    Is it because humans are bored and have nothing better to do most of time?
    How did humans become so talkative?

    Any ideas? :D

    They are bored.

    I can't even believe how many times a girl has called or texted me with absolutely nothing to say, other than to just "talk." Best yet, they seem dumbfounded when I ask if they needed anything. Apparently you don't need a reason to talk to someone :p
