He isn't wrong. "A" is the same as a) otherwise the quiz has no answers as the internal logic of the puzzle would fail itself. To assume that "A" is not the same as a) is a sure fire way to not be able to solve the puzzle. The only reason it is written as "A" is to differentiate it from the word A. If you had a solution to this that held to your logic then you would be able to tell others that they were wrong, but as you can't solve the puzzle using your limitations, and other people are able to solve it when "A" is equal to a) then it is pretty safe to accept that to be the correct way to do things.
An old thread maybe, but one that's still without an answer. Anyone been kept awake at night with this? Someone must have an answer?
