Sitepoint is not the premier place to sell a business online, I hate to break the news to you man!

$250,000.00 sales are pocket change in the real world man, domains have sold for $7,000,000.00, when they do that, ring me up, OK!

Until then, prove it by suppling facts and figures!

And the highest domain sales are usually sold on a site such as sedo or are privately brokered sales, either way there is a hefty fee to pay for the sale. In terms of forum marketplaces sitepoints is the premier marketplace im not saying its the best place in the world to sell your business i was comparing it to digitalpoint just like you have been doing most of this thread.

Fair enough, but you don't see the Sitepoint Owners or Managers defending their marketplace.

What does that tell you about it being the premier marketplace on the net

Why would they need to? I'm guessing they charge primarily to keep the crap out of there (not because they need the money).

If I can figure out a way to get the crap out (but without charging), I'll certainly consider it.

The marketplace here will blow them away, end of story, all one has to do is look at how many people are online in real time, the numbers are large!

Good moderation and following up on the sites put up for sale can solve the problems along with the rating system for the members!

sitepoint is intended more for those that sell large sites, dp will still remain the community site seller. a good thing in my book

This is the reaosn I plan on getting my post count up at DP. I don't want to spend 20$ everytime I want to sell a website, when I can get the same results here.

You can get better results here, Sitepoint is a pain in the ass, they treat their members like second class citizens!

I've seen it over at SP where sometimes, they will threadcrap, and won't mean to. Or something along those lines.

sitepoint have revamped their marketplace and now the sellers can even delete the posts from the sales thread ...so if a buyer finds out that the website is scam and posts about it the seller can just delete the comment.
