If and only IF

If only some of you running 10+ directories stopped for 2 minutes thought about what you are doing. If only those of you spamming every thread with your sites link thought about what you are doing. If every "PAID DIRECTORY" owner put some serious thought into what you are doing/running.

You would all have a much more quality site where people would actually come and look for information not only to spam submit sites for free. 98% of you that have a directory will not last 6 months from now, when I say last I mean you will shut it down between now and July. I have had my site submitted to almost every directory that I thought was good and paid over a year ago went back used a tool to check backlinks and of all the sites on my list only 34% were still up.

Don't be morons think before doing something, just because someone is making money doesn't mean you will.

Is that what you call: "quality site where people would actually come and look for information"?

 

The directories that disappear is so true, its why i stopped logging in an excel file my submissions, unless ive paid.

Many turn into parked pages, blogs, social bookmarking sites.

Worth checking whats listed in your own directories, ive visited some links that redirect to something completely different.

To Sasa Have you been emptying out your own directory or something? a little thin on listings

 

excuse u? if you knew anything you would know I have no more sites that you know of, nplinks and directorymix haven't touched by me in a year.

Just have to wait till the man from above answers.

Gave them away, im guessing the new owner must of deleted a load.

 

Its a thought for sure. People have started making directories looking at others and sayin..."Oh! That directory runs and they get paid for nothing. Let me do it too!"

Well to those people: What is seen in the front exactly didn't appear by installing PHPLD and putting up a template. The backwork that goes behind building a quality directory is much more than that. It is because of some jerks that the good quality directories too have had a decline. Be a trend setter not a follower. There are still various niches untouched. Go develop them! Good luck!

Remember the 'killer' project? ... Well it was started, but due to an increase of MODing requests, and creating some new spiffy stuff for the real directory owners who really care about their sites, I've been busy modding. But regardless, killer will come. Just have a lot on my plate as on now.

 

forget the modding requests if they know whats right they will hold off on the requests let you finish it so I can get a copy

So you are saying to QBC that you have trust them and you have pay them for a listing and they dissapear?
I think that this is what exacly they do, hit and run with some $.
Anyway what these guys do to directories niche the same do to other niches also
the only good google strike on directories did is to scare them and let the directory niche away from those scamers.

 

The more niche the Directory, the more value it will have for users, and I suspect the more value Google will bestow on it's links.
