try to stay away for blackhat marketing, one day search engines will be able to detect those kind of sites within seconds so its not a long term thing
it all depends on how you implement your techniques and how discrete you are. as mentioned about, your method does not have to be illegal. if for instance you have a banner on your site but a visitor does not click on it. instead, they type in the link the following day because they saw the banner, you lose a potential commission. this is where i think black hat comes in handy to ensure that you get credit for that sale. my 0.02
I like to see an online business as a house which needs a solid foundation. Blackhat is no solid foundation. That said you may want to go for quick results using black hat techniques for some short term project. You just have to know what you're doing and have a clear view of the possible consequences of your actions. In the end what is blackhat and what is not? Sometimes it's not so easy to make the difference.
Do not use blackhat tactics at all they can defintly have you removed from search engines people who do this cheat to get web traffic use the legit ways to get traffic, videos, articles, forum marketing anything else that are good marketing tactics
black hat = fast spike of traffic and then ban. white hat = slow increasing of authority and traffic + steady passive income.
I couldn't agree more. The fear people have when they hear BLACKHAT is halarious. I hate to break it to you guys, but every single damned guru that you all look up to.. and I mean ALL the big dogs, use methods that would be considered Blackhat. Shortcuts, workarounds, tricks and trinkets.. misleading sales copy... bogus claims.. etc... using proxies.. cloaking, masking traffic sources... I happen to know a fairly big time info marketing guy (not going to mention any names) but some of the most out of the box methods, and I mean completely genius, were from him, and would be considered black hat by the masses.. But no one is getting scammed here.. it's merely shortcuts.. automation.. ninja tactics... to get insane traffic.. and protect yourself while doing it. C'mon people, does it really matter what color hat you where? as long as you can sleep at night and you work hard for your money..
Blackhat marketing? Like non-SEM? What, would that be like advertising an item as 30% off when its actually at its normal price? (because thats pretty common). edit: Yeah, blackhat is simply not being honest, and this tends to get your penalized when it comes downto it. That said, such techniques often become common place (like the sale thing) and get instituted into the market.
my concept of blackhat is primarily about automation... like mass forum posting (don't this is a legit post ) the get backlinks fast.
if you want to go the blackhat way be prepared to pay the price of your account getting banned ... but its can be rewarding .. the reward is quick compared to whitehat ... but for a long term business plan i use whitehat cause its keeps on bringing money every month to you if done properly
