Hi. i have been doing seo on my blogs for almost 2 years. now i have some blogs with 5000 uniques/day, and i want to start selling my own stuff. i have searched the market, and i found a niche that is not very saturated, and i wrote a book. i am studing marketing, i have read lot of marketing ebooks, so the sales page won't be a problem. The problems that i have are: witch payment processor system should i use? i want to accept both credit and debit cards, and i want someone that is secure. what about delivering my ebook? i want as everyone else that almost no one gets the ebook without paying a cent. and what software can i use to collect the e-mails and send newsletters? when customers buy my ebook, they will receive a newsletter every month, with updates, etc. i know that some of you guys have been in this business for years. please help me avoid some of the mistakes that you have done in the past. thanks!!!
I use Paypal. They are secure, easy to set up, and enable you to take a variety of forms of payment. In addition, you get paid right away. The only disadvantage is that you have to build your own affiliate network, should you choose to do so. Clickbank will get you an affiliate network to help you sell, but they only pay every couple of weeks and have a liberal return policy. (Mike Filsaimes) Paydotcom is supposed to be good too, depending on your needs. Hope that helps - PM me if you have more questions. -e-
I use a combination of Paypal and Aweber...they work great together and you can set it up so you don't have to do anything but drive more traffic to your offers (ie: once a prospect buys from you, they get added to your customer list and then unsubscribed from the prospects list) Those are great tools and they're cheap to use (minor Paypal fees and $20 something Aweber account I think) Good luck! e-junkie is great and cheap and integrates paypal and google checkout for you, it also provides instant downloads of your products straight for the buyer to get. Another option is paydotcom an alternative to clickbank which is free to sell at but the fees are big.
I think e-junkie is a must. It simply automates the process and avoid the hassles of dealing with customers.
If you want to take the whole profit then invest some in buying OIO publisher. Easy to set up. I used to use ejunkie to sell my ebook but now I bought OIO and host the purchasing page myself.
I use Sid Hale's robust Rapid Action Profits script for all my online business needs. You can find out more at: http://rapidactionprofits.com Good luck! PForbes
I have a credit card machine in which to type in their number and experation date. You may want to look into that also. All you need is a simple business account with your bank.
