    It is depend on the design of the blog / website.
    I have better CTR on my health website with Text ads but better CTR in my game blog with image ads
    So, you need to try it out to find the best

    different ad types performs well on different sites but usually text ads outperform image ads majority of the time

    My website has a black background and most of the pics they give me don't really blend in with it, but the text looks really nice, so I put only text.

    Yes text ads have my vote too. In some occasions image ads can do well but most of the time, clicks come from text ads.

    I have greater success with text ads. Image ads suck. Most of my clicks come from text ads

    Text Ads is better in my opinion. :) Visitors of the website doesn't want graphic ads, there would be a small percentage for it to be click.

    Which pay more? Which are better?

    What I can do with ads is different than what you can do or anyone else.

    You need to test for yourself.

    I've done very well with text on most sites, but I do have sites where image ads get more click through.

    But most importantly what you need to measure is the amount of profit one generates vs the other in the same ad space. And the only way ou can truly find out is to test.

    EPC on images is lower than text ads

    I love text ads, but in my blog I included both (I mean two blocks of adsense, one text & one image). It makes my blog more colorful.

    I personally like the text ads much better than the image ads, but you might as well test them both and see how it goes for your particular website / niche. I think that the post above about how image ads did well on a gaming site made a lot of intuitive sense.

    According to me Text ads rates higher than Image Ads. Because in text ads you will find many varieties of Ads than Image Ad which is solo. There may be plenty of chances of highest paying keywords in Text Ads. Hence I prefer Text Ads than Image ads.:)
