Because it is better than the alternative - both of those countries being run by Islamic extremists who are hell bent on the destruction of the US.
Right because smart people support regimes that are trying to do them harm. LOL. One day you will learn how the world works. People don't usually support those who are opposed to their ideals and goals. See Hamas as an example. Why in the world would the US or Israel support a democratically elected Hamas? Hamas is a terrorist group - just because the Palestinian people voted for them does not make them any less of a terrorist group.
Yeah, right. Voluntary democracy in the middle east? It's a very rare thing. The US has a history of supporting dictators simply because we have to. There are parts of the world where you have to deal with dictators because that's just the way those parts of the world work. So of the non-authoritarian regimes in the middle east, the US is solely responsible for the existence of half of them, Israel(without our support Israel would not have lasted) and Iraq. I'm sure you applaud our effort in Iraq and Afghanistan to bring liberal democracy and representative government to that part of the world.
Yes they are dictatorships, but their also friendly to America and most of their people. If they would begin to aggress America and kill their people, America would break alliance. It's just a matter of time before these dictatorships collapse and democracy is installed.
Option one: Select a democracy that will say KILL AMERICA. Option two: Select a dictatorship that isn't too bad, and won't say KILL AMERICA. What would you pick?
Hopefully Israel will one day gets what's coming to them. Everyone will get what they deserve eventually.

I just hope I live to see the day when Palestine has the upper hand over Israel. Then we will see how they behave. I have absolutely no respect for Israel as a nation. The might of their army is proved by going against people with basic weapons and home-made bombs. If anybody in this world would press the Nuke button it would be Israel and they would have no remorse AT ALL about the millions of innocents they kill. Why don't you guys do some research as to why Hamas actually got elected in the first place... Democracy is always the best bet. We don't have to force countries to be democratic (*but we do, of course..), but the world will evolve and progress in time. It's a little hypocritical to promote freedom in America but then say other countries shouldn't have it because they might be potentially dangerous to the US, don't you think? And if other countries hate us, there's a good reason (see foreign policy*). And its not because we're rich and mostly white. BTW, let's not forget that USA is the greatest threat to world peace, not "terrorists" or "freedom fighters" (whatever side of the world you're on)
