Google Rank obviously gives you more traffic as google is no.1 search engine and getting website listed for 1st postion for certain keyword brings traffic.
IF your in the same position for the same keyword then google will provide you with more traffic because more people use it
80% of my traffic comes from Google and 10% comes from MSN, adn 5% from yahoo, and the rest comes from various sources like digg, ask, AOL etc.
im using google and yahoo marketing..im getting more traffic from google..im even planning of deactivating my yahoo
I'm even more puzzled now after reading these posts. If all of us get 80% traffic from Google, why does Wall St. think Yahoo has a higher market share? They posted some numbers when Microsoft was negotiating to buy them and the search numbers were a lot higher than 10% ?????
Its maybe financial gimmickry OR maybe we all just make our sites and use traffic methods aimed just at Google, in other words we all trying to please Google in sending traffic to us and giving it more attention as compared to other search engines like Yahoo. Maybe the situation will be a lot different if we started to pay attention to other search engines.
I received from google most from organic search.. the most important thing is direct access, if people bookmark ur site or know your site, it's the best.. i never bookmark google.com, but i type it, it's important your site become one of those sites. the presentation and content is very important.. make sure your site offer quality stuff.. now i see here people focus so much on search result instead of marketing the name, they focus on organic search only. feels like we want to skip heaps more than we are supposed to...
This is my oppinion. Most of us know that both yahoo and google work differently. Yahoo has its own algorithm and also google. The question is which SE gives webmasters' web more traffic. Here is my answer. Most of webmaster today work for google's rank.Even a plug in that I use, work for google. So, it depends on how you optimize your web/blog. Is it for google's eye or for yahoo's. It has no specific answer. Just my 2 cents
Basically, google search will bring more traffic. However, it is depend on the country also. For example, if your target visitor is from japan, then yahoo will bring more traffic. If consider worldwise, google search will be the answer
We are located in Central Europe, but our websites are usually multilanguage (English, German, Russian, Slovak...) and the biggest part of our traffic - from search engines - is from Google (90 percent) - from the Google global and from locals as well. Theten percent is from local search engines and from Yahoo.
I believe most of us will agree that the majority traffic would be from google after all, its the most popular search engine
