My first website

Hi everyone,

i have created my first ever website. It is just a simple wallpapers website, and you can download the wallpapers for your pc or mobile phone. I also have some HD wallpapers aswell.

I would like to know what you guys think of the site, and what improvements i could make, to make the site even better.

For your first ever website I'd say it's very good! It's certainly worth bookmarking anyway.

 

Try to change the background. Otherwise your site is really more attractive...

 

Overall the design is good. I think that the banner ad at the top looks a bit like its the header of your site. You could put you site name and logo where that is and put the banner ad below the menu.

Other than that if this is your first web site, you have done a very nice job.

I think your site is good.. Maybe you can try to make your site load faster....

 

you should do something with thumnails, because they looks not proportional

 

You should add a logo to the site and it's somewhat difficult to read the text in the
links in the navigation of the site you should change the color of the text to make it
more legible.

Agree with the banner placement..

Also hate that stupid ad thing ..I've seen that on a few sites now and I don't go back to any of those sites except ONE which it only pulls up the ad like once per day...and the site provides something useful.

Thank you for all your comments, i have changed the font of the text in the menu, so the text can be read much more easily, and also i have gotten rid of those full page ads, mainly because they were bugging me when i was working on the site LOL. I have also made the site slightly faster, not much difference in speed though. I was wondering how i can make the site much more search engine friendly?

I guess I'm going to have to agree with the others about the ad at the top. I really dislike it. Its more than distracting because its at the place were your logo should be. Remove it or place it somewere else.
