One of the most powerful techniques to have your blog crawled quickly by Google and other search engines is to use a Ping service. I have used many free Ping services and I found Pingler.com the most effective ping tool. At Pingler.com, they list more than 90 ping servers.

honestly, the best list that i have come across

 

The default WordPress ping function works just fine. I have Googlebot visiting my new posts within one minute after I hit the Publish button and I get search engine traffic from google within one hour (for popular keywords).

 

The post is quite nice, but pinging too many servers will eat up your server.
BTW your default wordpress setting allows you ping many sites, i dont think so u need to add those links.
Currently i have this list in my wordpress setting which i collected and compiled from many sites.

my blogpost get crawled by google within few seconds ..
i think only [B]http://rpc.pingomatic.com/[/B] does it all. no need to add others but to be on safer side i am using this list.

Great tool but need a automatic update function depending upon our condition said...

 

Why are you so much in a hurry to be indexed? If you have links to your blog, you'll be indexed in 1-5 days. I don't think this is so important

 

pingomatic.com includes many ping services. if you ping the same service more than certain number of times in short amount of time then it will be considered as spamming ...

but be careful using them, bcoz pinging Google too many times may count as spamming by google.

 

I wouldn't use all of them, i only use the one in wordpress, my posts get crawled very fast.

if you Ping ping services to often can get your blog banned from using them because of ping spamming.

So, I recommend using the default one which comes with wordpress.
