I was wondering, how often does Google update the Page Rank, is there any way of knowing when the next update is?
As far as I know, Google doesn't work that way. Google's spider doesn't scan the web for specific reasons periodically. Google does scan the web more than one time per day automatically simply collecting data, and then Google's computer compares the data it records during each sweep of the Internet with the data it has already recorded in its data base. So if the spider analyzes some "improvement" in a particular website that corresponds with its current algorithms pertaining to PR, Google's computer will change that website's PR automatically either upwards or downwards.
If you are talking about the PageRank, google does update the PR every day or when ever it crawls the webpage. But, the export of PR to toolbar happens only on every three months. The tool bar PR is only the visualize purpose but don't effect the search results. Also google updates the PR for every keyword.
Very True...PR would update on a daily basis but it would be officially displayed in the Google Tool bar for every 3 months.
This PR thing has really made people very anxious....The correct way would be to build a site/blog to trade or share information.... But due to this PR business, people make lots of useless sites, link them with eachother and create some sort of their own network, create faulty traffics and cheat advertisers and cheat people selling links on such PR sites later on. This PR thing is surely blowing out or proportion...now... Regards, RightMan
Your PR update time depends on how many times google crawls ur site, if its only once every day your PR will update every day. But if google only does it once a week it takes u a week (so if u get crawld alot google will think you're important)
well google ranking is updated frequantly , but the PageRank is updated every 3 months.....there is no such way to find out when the google will next update the PageRank.....
