"Satan" is not so bad

If it weren't for "Satan" and his "demons" none of us would mature, in any aspect. If we were to live in a world of absolute perfection we couldn't prove ourselves, and then forget who we were really were.

There is no growth in a purely positive world. You can't change if failure is never an option. The ultra-religious and liberal thinkers on this forum (those who think protection of people is the first priority) is the target audience of the point I'm making. Interesting how these two sides seem to be polar opposites, but they're both wrong!?

Only those who've come to the conclusion that this life as we know it is all that there is, are those who think Nature is ruthless. They think death is a tragedy. These people usually live unfulfilled lives, living up every moment of the material world they can handle - so long as they can fill the gap in their Selves that keeps them searching. That's all part of the purpose, to do this searching phase and find yourself. But some of you are so upset by this that you think up absurd philosophies to protect us all from "harm". It doesn't last long, these beliefs. They'll come crashing down from all sides in ways only history can remind us of.

And eventually, I believe, we'll all pass through this "protection" phase and realize that "Satan", is not so bad after all.

Since when does failure have anything to do with the Satan?

I have certainly failed at things but I have never met this Satan fellow. What does he look like?

It's the Christian faith's expression of negativity. Or at least I interpreted it that way in this thread. I don't believe in a literal "Satan". I do believe in negative energy, that seeks those with negative mindsets.

Don't think you can hide behind your subtle humor. I know your kind well; they are vicious, and love government in their lives.

I voted for the Satan who likes big government. But since Satan's not such a bad guy does that extend to his followers?

Nate. I don't know what you have against me. But if you're going to ignore me let me suggest a better alternative. It's a greasemonkey script that I wrote last night. At least this way you can have my posts say "Hi. I'm LogicFlux and I'm a giant douche!!!" or whatever you want instead of a boring "this user is on your ignore list" message.

    Example:

Your ignorance keeps me from liking you. It's not long in any thread that you turn into a complete ass hat.. in fact, it only took your first post in this thread. I hope one day you grow up so we can discuss issues like men.

Satan and demons are figureheads [Like are many other things] for some people to disown their responsibilities and misdoings and avoid the important questions and issues.

Blame it on the devil. The devil made me do it. Evil spirits. Possession.

Try to take responsibility and own up to your evil and failures rather than blaming it on the devil or whatever else.

Nate can simply choose to ignore my posts if he doesn't like them but he chooses to dance.
No offense, lightless, but I don't post here to amuse you or nate or anyone else.
My posts are certainly as valuable as some of the people's here who are only here to spread hate and propaganda and who don't seem to have any webmaster skills to speak of since they only post in the P&R forum.
If you or nate don't like my posts or think I post them at inappropriate times, simply put me on ignore. It's really that simple.

Just a musing as I noted. A note to myself [And others if they choose] to temper humour. Thinking aloud to myself if you'd like.
Nothing meant specifically at you. Neither did I question the value of your posts.

I don't think anybody posts to solely amuse others. But I think that's part of the point of being in a forum.

To amuse others and to provoke other people's thoughts.

And my rep tells me I do whether I set out to or not. The point is I don't not post something because I think nate or you or anyone else won't like it. For every nate who has a chip on his shoulder there's at least one that doesn't.
Again, if you don't like my posts feel free to ignore them.

I'd love to not hear from you, but that isn't my style. Live with my opinion, and if it troubles you enough - put me on ignore, or take my advice and shut it.

I've never neg repped, ignored or a reported a post here because I see value in everyone, even your smart ass.

    Squeaky wheels get the oil.

Oh you're original huh? Come up with your own stuff and respect everyone else's? Gimme a break, I think this is some more of that subtle humor :p

HA! Looks like he won't be able to wreck my threads as efficiently now. Would anyone like to put this hijacked thread back on its normal route?

I agree, I believe we have more power over personal matter than most believe.

    @ Nate

Your sig looks like something out of the DDR. Helmut Kohl, Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan are the heros for standing up to the evil empire back in the 80's. Back in the day, the Left hated Reagan more than they hate Bush today. At the time, Erich Honecker said that the Berlin Wall would stand for a 100 years and he ended up in a German jail. I believe that Satan isn't real but Satanism is.
