    plz tell me what is differance between htp://www.xyz.com and htp://www.xyz.com/

    will one single "/" affect on url traffic? which on is correct?

    what will be effect of it on search engine? and its ranking??

    Yes there is a difference between the two. the browser communicates to the server requesting domain.com. First the server looks for a file called "domain.com" and can't find anything. it then adds a trailing slash and then tries to find a directory called "domain.com" then the server returns the default file for the directory. so if a browser requests http://www.domain.com instead of http://www.domain.com/, the visitor is actually being redirected to the later one. this forces the web server to work harder than it needs.

    as far as SEO is concerned, this thing does not affect the SEO.

    I don't see how this could make any difference SEO wise. It's mostly a browser thing.
