[WTS] PR3: Street Art Website and Forum - 3600 Uniques

I am selling a very successful street art website and forum called Concrete Canvas. Found Here.

The website was created to celebrate and show off street art and graffiti and has turned into a successful website including a forum with over 160 members and 3700 posts.

The main website has over 200 articles and almost all of it is original content, as in written by myself. We have interviews with very successful street artists which bring a lot of new traffic through search engines. The website currently has a PR3 and it was PR4 before the recent update.

Te website still has a lot of potential to grow. The reason I am selling is I am looking at moving onto a new website project and need some revenue for that.

Domain: Concrete-Canvas.com which expires in June 09.

Traffic: 3600 Unique Visitors a month. 250-400 visits a day. 320,000 hits a month.

Income: £15 a month per private advert. I have never tried Google Adsense on the site.

Forum: 161 Members, 3791 Posts, 231 Topics.

Starting Price: $350 USD.
Bid Increments: $20 USD.
BIN: $700 USD.
End: Saturday 17th January.

I do have a reserve price which I'd like to get. If I don't achieve that I think I'd like to keep hold of it, depends on the offer.

Out of interest, how regularly do you have to update the site (ie write new articles)?
Where are most of your visitors coming from - do you have any keyword/search engine stats?

Could you also expand on this comment a little - will these other artists still be involved in the site etc?

We did have a team of 4 artists who used to write articles but they have since disbanded. We have since introduced guest bloggers to the site which may post a couple of articles over a few weeks.

I update the site everyday with a new article or interview. I suppose it could easily be set up to autoblog but that would take away from our originality.

The majority of my visitors come from Europe (the UK in particular) and the USA.

Don't you think $350 is a little high? With your current revenue, it would take 16 months to make that. Going rate is normally around 7/8.

 

I currently have 2 private ads on the site which totals £30 per month.

8 x £30 = £240 = $350

That also doesn't include any Google adwords or affiliate marketing. I haven't introduced either (only Amazon Associates in the last few days). Should someone introduce some more adverts on the site I think $350 will bemade back pretty quickly. I also haven't monetized the forum which is a big area that could be exploited.

 

Ah, ok, I didn't realise there were 2 adspaces. That seems more reasonable then.

 

Thats two current adspaces. We've had upto four in the past. All it takes is a simple edit in the code so there is no real limit to the number of adspaces.

 

how much of your time does this take? can visitors add anything (like articles, pics etc) apart from forum posts? please pm me. thank you

It takes about 15 mins a day to write a post. Sometimes more if it's an interview write up or sometimes less if I'm emailed some information.

Visitors can add the forum posts like you say. They can also add pictures of street art to our forum gallery.

How do you get interviews with people? Do you have to pay them?

 

Nope. I just ask them. Everyone I have come across in the street art scene is always willing and happy to help.

I send them a message over forums usually.

Yeh. It's very easy to start talking with a artists from all around the world. I'll tell the winner how to get in touch with these artists and view pictures of their work.

It's really surprising how accessible street artists are - many of them have come out of their cage with all the promotion in recent years.
