I am new at making videos to post on youtube to get traffic to my site. My video was successfully poated but I am not sure how to get people on youtube to watch it. Another thing is although my video has my web address on the end, I want to know if there is anything else I can do to get traffic from my video to my site?

    What is your Niche?

if it's a "VIRAL NICHE" (i just create this term ), so focus on making a cool video and then digg it.
after that send the digg link to your friends and ask them to digg it.
VOILA, you can have more chance to get more traffic from digg, who is "HUGE".

    good luck dude

You can watermark your video and also place a link in the description box
    of your video.

The quick way to drive traffic to your video is to copy the address of the
video and then go to socialmarker.com and signup to all of the websites
listed there, they are web2.0 sites and many of them rank great in google
usually getting you on the front page within a day or so.

Also you will need to do some keyword research to see which keywords
visitors are typing in to find what they want and also which keywords have
the least competition so you can rank easy in the search engines.

I would usually tend to add around 50 tags or as many as you can to each
    youtube video that you submit.

    Hope this helped.

Browse around YouTube and join groups and communities related to your video.

I thought watermarking was a way to mark something for security reasons, like if you download a video maker and you don't buy it you are just testing it then it would have watermark so you cannot use it. Is this what you are talking about?, or am I misunderstanding and how do I do it to help me.

Watermarking allows you to embed text or graphics, for example, a logo, in digital media such as video or images. It is an excellent way to stamp a personalized identification mark such as your company name, date of creation etc. on the visual material.

Many of the above tips are helpful. Also be sure to post your videos as video responses to videos that are getting high amounts of views. See the site in my sig for in-depth (free) info.

I am new to this forum but not to Youtube marketing, here are a few tips I find useful.

Find out if your niche (video) is of interest to others, possibly your videos are not, sorry to say for various reasons. Do this by doing a search of your keywords and see how many others are promoting the same thing, ask yourself is this over saturated?

Speaking of keywords this is how tubers find your videos, use as many as you can think of related to your product or video

Watermark you videos with your site, this helps prevent others from ‘hijacking’ your video. It won’t stop them but can slow them down. I have had videos ‘taken’ and they didn’t even cover my watermark, free advertisement for me.

Tag your videos with a 20 to 30 second “presented by **yoursite**’ or just ‘www.yoursite.com’ at the beginning and the end of your video. This advertises you, gives them time to see your site and requires a hijacker to edit your video, unless they want to advertise you.

Utilize Video Reponses as mentioned by Scar in the above post, works very well.

This is a few of the techniques that work for me.

    Hope this was helpful

Damn, I have a whole blog dedicated to this subject.

Here is something from one of my articles :

    1 ) Optimize your Tags

Make sure your tags are not too general. If you want big success you must have both the specific and the general tags.

    Why ?

The broad , general tags are full of competition but also have giant amounts of daily traffic, while the specific tags have LOW or NO competition at all (and even though they have smaller amounts of traffic, you’ll rank a lot better on these, so in the end you will also get a good amount of views).

What this means to us is that we can use the specific videos to get instant push, start with a bigger snowball and then let it roll into the general areas where it can get even bigger until it gets like a bear-sized monster

    2 ) Create Discussions

Put some text in the end of your video.

    Something like :

    - Who do you think lies more, Men or Women?
    - Do you think astrology is objective ? (bad example I know :p)

    3 ) Be Consistent

Add videos regularly but not too regulary - Do you like when you are getting spammed ? I don’t think so.
So find the Sweet Spot, for me it’s something like uploading one video in 8 days.

    4 ) Be addictive

Make people want to come again and again, give them an interesting experience the first time, and they will want to relive it. This also improves the chances for them to leave a comment or a rating on your video.
