Guys please evaluate the SEO of my new site:

Write meta information (keywords, description) for every single category and page IMHO.

 

I forgot to do that, thanks for reminding...

 

all i could think is maybe a short intro duction saying what u do sell ect.

 

You may also write more information which is for the users, I mean the page content, not meta information. For example introduction that tells people what content exactly is inside the category.
This is also a important way of SEO, because meta tags are not all that matters.

Anyway, I guess there are still many things to do, not only SEO.

 

For starters you can add a better title to your homepage. Shoppebuys.com as your title will not help.

It doesn't look like you've tried to do much. Your "about" section has one sentence!

If you even want to try to compete in the electronics world (even as a buy.com affiliate) I suggest you re-design the whole site to make it look better. If not you are wasting your time.

 

The page took about 1 minute to load for me... poor hosting/load time has a small impact on SEO

 

In addition to all the SEO points, you should remember to keep your pages developed in a user friendly manner all the time because search engines are not going to buy anything.

 

I believe most importantly, you should optimize your page titles. For instance, for your page http://www.shoppebuys.com/speakers-subwoofers-accessories, a great title might be:

Speakers & Subwoofers | Logitech Z Digital Surround Speaker | 5.1 Channel

or Digital Surround Speakers | Logitech Digital Surround Sound | 5.1 Channel

It is said that other meta information is not as important, if important at all, regarding SEO, but title tags remain essential. Once your new titles are in place, you should then sweep the site and add at least a few sentences at the top of your product display pages (like the one above). For instance this page may say...

"ShoppeBuys.com offers speakers, subwoofers and speaker accessories to accomodate even the most discerning sound enthusiast. We are pleased to provide the latest in digital surround sound systems by names like Logitech. Browse our selection below to find the speaker, subwoofer, or complete surround sound system that is right for you."

Add a description tag, using the above paragraph as your content (or part of it). Repeat this for all pages.

Lastly, I would add breadcrumb links on all pages.

Take a deep breath. It can be done!

 

Learn from porn sites. There is tough competition among them.
They work so hard to get high rank on google that you just cant beat them in their game of SEO.

 

looks pretty good to me. What I like to do as well is if using Firefox, go to View/Page Style/No Style to really see in a sequential way what the bots are looking at..

I would also use the category in your URL.

 

Good start and nice site. May I suggest that you refer to Google http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=79812&query=meta+tags&topic=&type= and check out the Meta Description format. We use it and it works.

 

Thanks guys for your your help, I think I should reconstruct the whole site and the contents. I deleted the contents, I will replace it with good contents.. But will it not affect SEO if I reconstruct the whole site?

In fact I'm planning to launch a site too, which hasn't been online yet.
Although my site has nothing to do with yours, I mean the content, there are still something I could share with you.

1. Necessary information
As you're running a site about online business. Nobody would trust you if they don't even know who you are! Like what bermuda said, search engines are gonna buy nothing. No "about us" (well, although this page did exist) , no "terms of services", no "feedback", at least I'm not gonna be a consumer.

2. SEO
Tara33's post is a good example of writing meta tags. Title, keywords, description, all should be fine treated. Meanwhile, not only index page is important, but also interior pages. Write meta tags and page description likewise for different categories and pages according to their content.

3. Attractive content
Why should the consumers buy? As the economic hardship is pretty painful, it is much more difficult to make money from the consumers. Good stuff is not enough, everybody's looking for coupons, rebates, deals, etc.

Further more, promotion is also a longway to go. Definitely I won't buy from you if I don't even know your site.

try giving your meta's a bit more Optimization,Search engines also love website's that are updated frequently.
Your site is really blank try adding more content before submitting It for a review

 

Content, Content, Content - Well constructed pages titles, Heading tags, paragraph text and clean code.

- add more Backlinks..
- generate Tips and trick pages...
