One of my blogs has been running for I think at least 5 months already but still doesn't have a PR - not even a 0. I don't understand. I don't update that blog regularly though.

Sometimes, the PR may have been acquired but takes time to update on all the google data centers. You can check to see the status of your pagerank with all the data centers at: http://tools.khrido.com/webtools/pagerank-checker.aspx

Depending on the results, start working on the making the quality backlinks and contents creation.

What are the strategies you've done for your site? Gather links to related sites. Make sure it is from high pr sites! Get as many as you can.

You are welcome guys. I was panicking when my blog din't pick up any PR after long time I started it. Then I was recommended this tool on this forum, and I checked my PR. It was indeed not updated on all the data centers. That gave me some hope.

That is the reason why you haven't got a pr. The more you update your site then the more it gets visited by Google and thus would consider on giving you pr.

You should also build a lot of back links for your blog.

Perhaps your backlinks is enough for google to assign a PR for your blog.

PR only updates every few months. It could be that you just didn't get enough backlinks before the first PR update after you started the blog to receive a rank. If you've been doing a good job building relevant backlinks, you should probably see a PR soon.
