hello all, i am setting up a classfieds type site in wordpress, and i want to have the author who posted an ad. Be able to come back to the site once item is sold and mark it as sold or still for sale. Kind of like the dropdown choice box labeled "this topic is" resolved or not resolved. Like when posting on the wordpress.org site. I also want to be able to have another custom field for authors to put in there asking price for the item being posted for sale. would custom fields achieve this? I dont know how to use custom fields. I have no idea how to make it work for my needs. Anyone able to help?
While it is possible to achieve many things using wordpress, wouldn't you be better off using a custom classifieds script? There is no point in reinventing the wheel when there are plenty of scripts out there that will do what you want.
