    I think the best technique is selecting the right targeted keywords which you'll be using for your link building. If you work out to increase their rankings in google serp, then this may give your site higher traffic. To achieve this, you need to build more links from relevant sites and do proper targeting of keywords.

    I agree with Journey. Just target the proper keyword by creating quality backlinks from the relevant site. Do work on link building - Blog comment, Forum Posting, Directory Submission, Article Submission, Social Bookmarking, RSS Submission and go for unique content also..

    Unique content is the key, add as much as possible. Prepare good navigation for website and your bounce rate will become very low. Do quality link building too
