    Hi guys

i have a custom car site which ranked in google #1 for over a year, and on Jan 8th it dropped off the earth!! doesnt rank for any word!

What could cause this? the only thing i did - if anything, was add another site to my hosting plan (which is on the same server as the custom car site - godaddy) HOW COULD THIS EFFECT THIS? The site i added is a reputable site - nothing bad at all.

ALSO: when in google.com and i type my URL is does show up? all my incoming links do? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!

PLEASE HELP!! THis was a main source of income for me.

Sounds like your site may have been banned. Do you still have a PR rank?

Same thing happened to lots of webmasters last 2-3 months. I am one of them. Until today all my rankings are the same: 5th page to almost all sites and almost every keyword...

Have you paid for a lot of links or used 1 anchor text for a large percentage of your inbound links?

Rubbish, that doesn't affect rankings. Otherwise i'll drop 10K links pointing at your site and you're gone.

You have to wait couple of days to re-check this situation, but right now your site doesn't show at serp's for its own name. Thats bad.

Well I decided to try and figure out what's going on for you.

I believe a competitor has reported that you have paid links within your website, as their in the footer, not related, and all to home pages, which makes it look very suspicious, and thus your being penalised.

    Remove them ASAP

Please don't panic. I know, easier said then done. I feel bad for you, since I understand how much effort and work is required to stay at #1 position on google for an year. That being said, I read somewhere that google is making lots of changes in its algorithms. I am sure, if you haven't used any black hat seo methods or anything frowned upon, your site will recover. You may have to wait and watch.

I hope you get back to your previous position again soon.

Rubbish again. We can place non related links everywhere we want and paid links report doesn't apply to this situation. Sheet man, so i report every site that has non related links and they get banned? lol

    End of internet?

It's cos they are tiny - I can't even read them. It's probably classed as hidden content/links.

I am going to say because it is basically a bans site.

No content and only ebay/adsense ad's.

Basically a MFA site... and thus, you are de-indexed.

Add content, and remove ANY paid or hidden links and pray they include it back in the rankings... although you likely won't rank for shit even if you are added back in.

well i went into the site - removed all the footer links, took out the side bar adsense ad, cleaned up the meta code, and also added more text content to all the pages...and then sent google the letter for reinclusion using the form in webmaster tools. Pray for me!

Did you ever buy links? If yes then the links may be not relevant to your site or may have been submitted to a irrelevant category.
You may have hidden or broken links.
You may have linked with same keywords.
All the above factors can drop your page rank.
