Please Review my Dog Store

Hi Guys.

I have a Dog Pet Supplies store. It also carries other pet supplies too.

Now im not not done with customizing the front page, etc. I just need your input on the logo and overall presentation, etc. This is a real store so I appreciate any input that will help me professionally. This is just the beginning phases, but i need input before i get way too involved and find out I need to do something differently.

The site is currently active and you can order from it even though the design/content isn't totally finished. Thats because the customer service and payments, and shipping is directly handled by another company not me. I believe they only ship to united states residents.

 

I think its great, the only thing I would change is the font of your title. Try something not so plain.

 

Yeah im thinking of getting someone to design me a logo. Im not sure if my old designer is around anymore. If not ill just get someone new to redesign a logo.

Looks great! The only problems is the image, Looks kinda blurry ?

Thanks guys. Ill definitely get a better looking header by someone who can design it. I did the logo myself just as a placemat for now and I have no real design skills.

You can order from the site even though its not finished because the shipping and customer service is not handled by me directly, its outsourced by another company securely.

I've cut the margins very good, I beat out most stores right. Right now Ive set it at a commission percent wehre I'm actually not earning really anymore than if i just put a regular affiliate link from someone else's store instead of using my own. Right now Im just trying to get the design and content optimized ill worry about profit margin later.

 

I like your site. Easy to navigate, great deals 2! I think you designed it well too. I might even buy some parakeet food from it! Kind of high shipping prices though

 

Thats the lowest I could go. I earn nothing on shipping by choice. Its a flat rate though so it doesn't matter how many lbs or the size of your order. BTW I think they only ship to U.S locations.

Thanks. I added an about us page, etc. There isn't a whole lot much I now have to do for the design except get a better logo, which im in the process of contacting right now.

Id also like to get a search function on my site, but since its not database driven I have to either not use one or go with a google search option. Problem is google only searches indexed pages, so I have to wait for my entire site to get indexed. Plus im a little antzy about how to get a google search inside my webpage, ive seen other sites use it effectively like netrition.com.

 

looks too much like a 404 page to me i would add better graphics

 

It definitely needs a better and professional logo

 

Put a few sentences of text under the "Lowest Prices - Fast Shipping ... etc." Just say that you love dogs, and aren't dogs just the best, and a "check it out" link to whatever you want to sell the most of. Also consider using "Best Value" instead of "Lowest Prices."

I also added a search function to the site using google custom site search. It can only find the front page cause thats the only page indexed right now in google. I have to wait till google indexes the site.

Good job on the store.
Here are a few things you might want to take to attention:
-Designing a professional logo to go with the site (It will definitely improve the visitor's first impression of your store).
-On the left menu you have a couple of images with deals. They are too compressed and don't look good. If you could upload smooth high quality pictures, that will also be a big plus.
-Shop with confidence: make a short explanation or even a page for it that exactly explains WHY you are secure. Because currently you just have a banner for it and it doesn't link anywhere.
-You have a difference in your footer links when entering different pages in your store
-If you ship only to US, state so in your homepage and in your shipping explanation page.
