Books are better, of course. But people tend to do what's easier and more entertaining -- and that's TV.
I'm an ardent book lover. I enjoy using my imagination and the feeling of accomplishment that I get from reading and learning from good books. Now one thing about this books vs. TV question: I think that the age factor has a lot do with one's preference. I'm willing to bet that older DP members favor books and younger ones opt for television.
TV is best for me and better than BOOK. You can see all over the world through TV... In BOOK you can never see you can see only particular topic in the book.
TV brainwashes society. The advertisements are created to pressure you--even though you don't notice it--into doing what the government, companies, or other power-hungry societies. They are manipulating you. Books, on the otherhand, provoke thoughts. They make you reconsider the notions you had already developed. Literature is the development and constructive challenging of ideas. Television is the opposite.
books are far better Than TV in the way of keeping your eye site normal, and the people who watch more TV are tend to become couch potato.
Well since the kids these days don't even know the meaning of reading a book and all they know is TV and video games i don't think it matters that much but yeah books will always be better than TV. cheers
