When writing an article, do you put the same text for both your title and H1 tag? I'm wondering whether Google frowns upon this practice and whether you're more likely to rank lower than if you had different texts? The problem with having different texts is this: You put the more optimised text (with keywords at the beginning etc) in your title tag and then look for a variation of the title for your H1 tag which becomes the subject of your article. Now when people see your site in the SERPs, they are attracted by your impressive title but when they get on your site, they see this big H1 text which is different to what they've clicked on. So some of them might be disappointed and leave. The question is whether to have both title and h1 the same to make the visitor happy and whether this has any impact on rankings.
Yep. You can use both title and H1 tag same as visitor is king. If you feel that visitor leaving due to that then you need to repair it.
Hi There is no problem using the same text in the meta-title and H1 tag. You would be creating 2 related elements which will help with your chances of ranking.
Its not a big problem. but if you have a unique title for every pages in website it will helps you to promote more taget keywords. It will increase your SERP also because Title tag is very important in SEO.
I think it is not create big problem. visitor will not be disappointed. Suppose you are saying something in off page and when visitors come to your site through off page and they didn't get what they got in off page that time visitors will disappoint and leave your site
Usually I use the same title and h1 tags. My websites are ranked well in google and the ctr is also good. I am absolutely shore that google won't decrease your se positions if you have the same title and h1 tags.
h2 tags are better for SEO than h1 tags. Use them and make sure they contain the keywords, so naturally they should match the page title as well. Heres a good article for proper use of heading tags http://seotips4.com/30/using-heading-tags-on-your-web-page-to-increase-seo/
Normally I would try and have a different h1 to the Title tag. However I would also try and keep the same keywords, just use a different structure so not to deter visitors. J
i am using same in title and h1 tag, its not any problem and google not saying anything about this. this is your own decision. its not problem, just some software said that h1 and title should be different, butt in real no problem
No problem you can use same heading and title but if you can vary a little then it would look more natural I would say.
Yes it might be a problem in seo matter. So don't use H1 and H2 also because h2 is already used blog post title. So start with H3.
please don't post anything if you're not sure. I see post start with h3 tags? h1 tag must be different with title because google will punish your site? cmon cut the crap where did you learn this?
