My friend do use bloggers and he is making around 300-400$ / month. He have 15 PR2-3 Blogs on diff niches.
Yah theres people makin that much. If you look at a list of the most popular blogger blogs those may make close to that much.
i use blogger.... and i host my own websites on xampp for free blogging is the best way to earn from adsense...
there is very very low rate of earning on bloggers for exp. i made only $2.99 through blogger from 10 months because its free.

Why? The host is immaterial. Find a high paying niche, write strong articles and optimize the hell out of it. In time it will start to make money.
No, I don't. But here's one guy who's doing it I believe - http://makemoneyforbeginners.blogspot.com/ If you will Google make money online or making money online, you will find his blog always on the top 6. But right now when I got his link using Make money online, he's the number one. So, I believe he really is the man...to think that he's only posting an average of 4 posts a month.
Platform is not irrelevant and the host is not immaterial...if they are sharing your adsense income. A fairly good portion of adsense income generated by a blogspot blog is taken away by Google. That's their means of generating income to keep running the free blogger in a viable manner. That has got to be among the reasons why generating "huge" income using blogger may not always be adequately possible.
Its not imposible but its tooo HARD, too much hard work. Its better to buy a domain, and a good host.

just think if you can make that from just adsense on a nothing to pay with free blog.. what more can you really ask for. or comlain about?
