I have few templates done in the past and i never use them now i want to sell them so help me in finding exact price. How to estimate html (uncoded) template price. (Contains homepage n subpages)
well depends on your design skills. I'm selling psd templates for arround 40$ so if it's coded html/css vailid it will be worth more then that. Do you have content for the templates? because if you do set up a homepage let it run a month an sell it you'll make a bit more money
As Sensei said, depends on your skills - which to mind mind means are you designing a TEMPLATE (HTML/CSS+images) or just painting some pretty picture (PSD) as to me, a PSD is NOT a template - it's some goof assed picture that is 50% of the time useless and 30% of the time an accessability /FAIL/ But then I'm the whacko who thinks starting from PSD is working back-assward as you should START in the CONTENT by marking it up SEMANTICALLY, then create the LAYOUT using CSS, then and ONLY then starting up the goof assed paint program to draw your pretty pictures to hang on the layout. Which is why I generally charge $100 to $200 for just the base template (HTML+CSS+images).
So psd not matters alot , for selling template i can start only with html and css , image files. Give an estimate How much html + stylesheet + img template cost (at dp) PSD (uncoded) + HTML + css PSD (coded) + HTML + css PSD
the cost on dp are pretty low because there are a lot guys form india for eg. and they are selling really cheap and there are a lot ob beginners trying to get a foot in the door. In germany I know a kind of store where you can offer your template for free and they charge arround 50€ for a psd design so the price is better ofer here^^
well... depends... if a client asks you to make a specific template, then you can charge way more than 50$.. just remember to validate HTML/CSS but if you make a template without any starting commission then i suggest you think about a niche audience and maybe add some content and google ads... then you can boost prices up remember if you put the site up and running you can charge more just for that
Why not check the price online and see what other people are charging for their templates? Google for "html psd template price" there are lots of people selling their templates for $20

Question: How can you have 'uncoded' PLUS HTML and CSS... If you have HTML and CSS, isn't that CODED? Or is that some goofy term having to do with whether the psd is layered or not. On top of which, given that it takes anywhere from 4-6 hours to do a site template properly, you people like being payed half of minimum wage?

I heard wp theme costs more than standard html or css. Other dp members must comments. If i will add content, google ads n then use for a site so ppl will take higher price? But will not they think thats its not a unique template? And how to do it. you are right i was taking as psd layered or not. So plz explain coded template n uncoded. Before posting this thread i did search many times. And i notice wp theme costs around 50-150 and some ppl are charging 500$ html around 35-65 and so one about psd i have no idea. It does not make me sense becoz dp rates r 1/3 of actual price. Thats way i am looking help from seniors who are in this biz. I can code html , css , little bit of psd and wp themes but never into this biz.
