Methods that can get you instant traffic

Well, in my experience nothing can give you instant traffic exept for bot traffic, or maybe if you buy traffic, but there are some little methods that can possibly get you traffic a lot faster than any other methods. (By instant traffic I mean very fast traffic, ex. I post my link on someplace and after a some minutes I get a load of visitors).

The most method that got me fast traffic was posting videos that somehow tease users to visit my site.

Or posting like mad in some forum or any other place that has loads of visistors but with a method like this you'll get some good traffic for a short period and then it'll stop.

Of course we don't want something like that, we want something that generates fast traffic and stays that way.

So the only good method I recommend to get fast traffic is posting videos. If you know of any other methods that can possibly get instant traffic, share them here. I hope everybody shares his ideas, so that we can all benefit from this post ;)

NOTE: Don't post BS stuff like your products and programs that say they can get you instant traffic. We are looking for free good methods here which have a great potential. The reason I'm using the word potential not succesful is because it is very difficult to get easy instant traffic as we all know.

Share your ideas with everyone and lets learn together...

I suppose if you had some incredibly informative, funny, interesting posts on your blog and you submitted then to social bookmarking sites you could get some decent traffic fast. If you made the front page of digg you'd get tons of hits.

I think any method can be effective as long as you are attracting relevant visitors. Sometimes, we have traffic but we cannot convert them to money because they are just passing by. Social traffic for me is not that reliable in terms of money conversion. Search engine traffic is still the best, because they are the ones really looking for something to buy and click.

Try stumble-upon. You will get a quick boost of traffic.

If your content is good the traffic might keep coming but if it's not, it'll fade away.

Of course you have to find a way to keep those stumblers coming back or to purchase something.

I guess stumbleupon user won't purchase your product easily. They just come and go like wind blows. Except you are building a mailing list by pulling their attention to sign up for free stuff. it's hard to get their money in the first approach...

Stumble Traffic is good in form of building community or readership. especially if you write interesting "list article" such as top 10 cool wallpaper or 5 most beautiful chicks in the world. :)

I use SU mainly to build inbound links and not hoping so much with the traffic quality.

The very instant traffic that I've known so far is getting link from popular blog/site.

    well, that's my 2cents! ;)

Maybe we should suggest the admin to remove that post by aricisom? :)
Well, that's not the way to earn money. That's spamming, my buddy. Do a good deed and contribute a little. ;)

Twitter seems to be a good way get some instant traffic. Ofcourse you will need to build up some followers first.

I agree though that videos, especially YouTube, are great for getting targeted visitors. Of course, converting the traffic from YouTube is whole other ballgame.

Many have been said before above but:

Social Bookmarking - Especially StubleUpon and Digg
Press releases - Overlooked but a goldmine if you know how to use it well
Article Marketing - Write a couple articles and submit to EA and other big article directories
Videos - Videos watermarked with your link posted on Youtube

Most of the time social bookmarking websites just give non organic traffic. Means if you're selling something, you're not going to get good conversion.
But its good for those who earn from ads (specially CPM).

To get visitors from youtube you don't need to have any friends, it will help yes but you can get visitors to visit your videos and then to your site that are not friend of yours..

Meanwhile twitter requires you to add lots of friends to gain a lot of traffic. I NEVER actually used it but i'll think it'll work similar as facebook, myspace...etc

so in this case youtube gets you the instant traffic not twitter.

Twitter seems interesting though, there are a lot of people that say great things about it, I might give it a try...

    Link bait.

Create something on your blog or website (but make sure you have a feed if you have a regular html website) that references something controversial in the latest news cycle. Think economic news, celebrity news, warnings and consumer reports about a popular product, etc. This is a link bait post.

Ping your post or article at pingomatic or another pinging site. Bookmark your post at Digg, Stumbleupon, and maybe two other social bookmarking services.

You'll get a nice bunch of traffic very fast. When I do this and post a related affiliate product link I make sales within 30 minutes to two hours.

This doesn't work so well on a very new blog or site but if your site is at least three months old it works very well.

The trick is to monetize that traffic. For celebs, try throwing up some related CD or DVD links from Amazon. For consumer products, throw up Ebay and/or Amazon links. Capitalize on trends in the newspaper and regular TV news. It's a great way to make some quick money and to also see if a trend has legs.

One of my e-books is for men on women. There are a number of hookers who walk the street here, and I have them wear a T-shirt with my url on it.

Then again, maybe I am just bullshitting.
