Hi, just conducting a quick poll on those people who have normal day to day jobs.

Is communication between you and your senior managers good or do you find it difficult to get your views heard about working issues?
Particularly in these difficult times do you feel it is more important than ever that there is constant communication within your place of work between staff and managers?

I am particularly interested in hearing views from those who work in a industrial area, and shop workers.

    Thanks for your time!
I am trying to gather info for a new project that I have worked on, and is now online. :)

This is my normal job, working from home and writing for my websites.

Communication between me and senior management is great, because I love talking to myself.

I think I am quite lucky to work in a friendly environment where everyone can speak freely in a respectable manner. The last employer I was at was not that great.

I do quality assurance for a software company (testing to make sure works with all scenarios). At times it difficult to get your views across because "management" has many tiers. I just do what I know is right and if they want something else then the come and tell me.

Most of our communications are thru chat and email. We rarely talk personally.

So how does the majority of staff communicate with their managers? Do people find it easy to approach a manager with a problem or idea, or would they rather keep quiet and get on with it?
Is there anyone who can relate to the image below?

I'm in the military for my daily job, however I make more doing this now.
Communication is not really the word for it, its more like giving and receiving orders.

this is my "normal" job, I think the market is now pretty competitive and a few years ago you would be able to work full time somewhere and do online business part time. But I believe these days you have to be more involved if you want to earn serious money
