its normal to earn over a million if you have a stable job and work 20-30 years (assuming its a normal position 9-5 not SEO, not VP), the question is you don't KEEP the money due to cars, houses, family etc. So you can have 1million but you don't really get to maintain that 1 million in any given time. Hmm I hope I make sense there There are exceptions of course
Yes, I would retire with $1billion. Because there is no limit to have money with you. You have to know where to stop.
I'd retire when I get around 2-3 million. That'll probably be enough for my regular expenses and hobbies. Though I think I can still have my gaming and comic book hobbies even with a good retirement plan just by being a smart buyer.
Well, i 'could' retire if i had $5 million in the bank i guess, $1 billion, well i could certainly retire on that, but i wouldnt be able too. I would be chasing the next billion, and i think thats what makes an entrepreneur/businessman. Atleast a successful one anyways. Never giving up, always trying to reach goals, then setting new ones, reaching them and so on...so i dont think id be able to retire, even if i had endless amounts of money in the bank.
A paid off mortgage and $750,000 in investments with a 4% annual drawdown should do the trick for me. $30,000 a year is plenty of money without any debt hanging over your head

At least I have my own House and lot, health and life insurance. Educational funds for my kids, a small business and $100,000 savings in the bank. If I have all these then I'm ready to retire.
i think i billion Euros are more then enough for me, i can spend that money in my whole life and make my sons future good(when he gets Born i m just 19 now)
