Look's like all his domains are registred at http://publicdomainregistry.com/ they charge $35 for one year and they claim to have registred 609,355 domains. Why would anyone pay $35 a year for domain registration?

Just a guess, but maybe it's his company, used exclusively to register all the bs domains he has, and he set the price high so he wouldn't be bothered actually registering anyone elses. I haven't looked into it, that's just off the top of my head.

Nah, some companies pay like 99 bucks to register a domain. don't know why, but they do.

If it would be the case, he wouldn't open a website for his company...

I honestly think that, there's a bunch of dudes who worked with that guy, he might be just a leader, more over - he might not know the first thing about the web, prolly just some average websurfer that gathered some pros, and offered them some percents from his idea to take over google, but they didn't think it will crash like that, and now everybody tries to do it, did they made history? Nah... coz what's the use in an anon "prodigy" blackhat? He did though show SE's the sub-sub domain problems, ensuring that he won't be able to do it again in the future - so what's the use in busting his own a$$?

Francox1 or whatever, we're still waiting for an answer, at least be man enough to admit that you're not answering coz the answers aren't what you would expect us to expect to hear from you. (Didn't understand the last line? Read slower!)

Good point about the website age, but he used subdomains and sub-subdomains and google sees each as new website so basically he had 1 page per each sub and sub-sub resulting in 5B, but I'd add this: G' must start seeing subs an sub-subs a part of the domain and not a different one.

This has been one of the greatest threads I've ever read at DP. Simply fascinating. Thanks to Nintendo for kicking it off and to everyone else for their input. And here I was for the last month sweating bullets because my pages were being de-indexed at an alarming rate and replaced with old pages. And then this "moldovian" guy shows up and well... the whole situation slaps me in the face (again!) and reminds me that the web is STILL very similiar to the wild west.

Ya know though, I wonder how all of those people that are sandboxed by google for months feel right now? I mean they build whitehat sites and wait forever to get indexed and rank well. And then along comes "Mr. 5 Billion served"...

That's probably some one else trying this now, sicne it has different type of URLs, and the index page shows nothing!!! aka, it's going to keep happening until google actually does something about it. They say they are, but it looks like all they do is ban the domains they find.

Maybe its actually microsoft behind this.

After they realized how much Live sucked and they'd already spent $4 billion or whatever they decided it would just be cheaper to spend some cash on hiring all the best black hat seo's in the world to sabotage google and destroy its credibility.

Although this sure doesn't help the credibility thang, without it they were doing just fine. My bet is we are looking at weeks if not months before it's actually fixed in the algo. In the meatime, manual bans from threads like this are this guys worst enemy :).

The folders are created the same. With addon domains you'll be able to access the folder either with xyx.domain1.com or domain2.com
