We have a huge database of emails. We are trying to do Email Marketing to promote our social networking website. I would not like this to be considered as a spam. Do you have any idea on doing Email Marketing, without making it look like a spam. Is there any software which can take care of this? If we send too many mails from an account, it starts looking at as a spam, and the hosting server bans the account. Any insights will be helpful.
its spam regardless whether it looks like spam because they have not opted into the list. Your site might get accussed of spamming. But if you dont want to appear as spamming then ............email once every blue moon so they dont catch on ......... Or just email once to invite them join your aweber newsletter.
How do I make them opted into the list? I dont have much idea on the aweber newsletter, can you please explain.
There are companies on the web offering services that will allow you to send emails to your list very cheaply. Do a quick google search. I do not know about their success rate or how effective they are. If you tried sending the emails from your computer, you will very quickly get penalized for spamming - not worth it.
You can't send it unless you have date/time stamp & source of where the email address was obtained. Then on top of that you have to worry about inboxing that if you are trying to send it yourself.
That sounds like a good idea. But I am not sure even if they will allow me to send emails to the kind of database that I have ( I have a database of 318 Million Emails .
I tried to send it using some Email Marketing software, but all of them need me to give details of the hosting email account, and I am afraid they consider this as a spam. I am sure there must be a solution to this. Any Internet Marketeers here, should be able to help us on this?
google co registration to find your target group. If your going to email your 318 million email. send a nice email and say please sign up to your news letter and recieve a free (whatever you want to give them) build a squeeze page but obviously you have to sign up to aweber.
Thanks Michael, your insights are really helpful. I am going to check out this aweber thingy. Thanks again.
